You may be eligible for $3,000 to launch your future.
You Qualify If…
- You lost a parent, legal guardian, or Indian custodian to COVID-19 contracted during the federally declared public health emergency (January 31, 2020 to May 11, 2023), and
- You were under 18 and a resident of California when they passed, and
- Your family’s income was below the Medi-Cal for Children limit

Applicants should submit all documents when applying, including those applicants 18 and older. Youth must be 13 years or older to self-apply. If youth are under 13, a legal adult must complete the application.
- Proof of Parent, Legal Guardian, or Indian Custodian Passing
A death certificate listing cause of death or a signed letter from a parent, legal guardian, or Indian custodian stating when and how they died - Proof of Age and Residency
Birth certificate, school or medical records, or driver’s license confirming age and residency, and any other available documentation - Proof of Family Income
You may upload Medi-Cal enrollment records, tax records, or other documents that help verify your family met the income eligibility criteria
